How I did it: The only thing you can do is be patient and let time pass. You can't force yourself to heal...so I just filled up my time with friends, going out, and hobbies. Anytime he started to wonder into my mind or I'd feel lonely I would call a friend over and my friends would usually pay out on him to make me feel better. Especially after 6 years of being together, it's been 3 months and he's starting to not cross my mind at all.
Lessons & tips: Don't go looking through old photos of you two together, and don't Facebook stalk them, cause it just makes you feel worse. Think of all the bad things about the relationship and how there's plenty more fish in the sea.

I know the feeling well… I think my ex is getting married now, based off my Facebook stalking J/K, so I’m definitely getting him out of my mind… He messages me on my BlackBerry every so often and I try my best to ignore him but sometimes he gets the best of me… I wish there were a magical potion I could drink… Ah well, what doesn’t kill me will only make me stronger.
