How to lOSE WEIGHT FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL
How I did it: Well I had three factors that really halped to lose 78 lbs. the first two were circumstantial, they may not be workable for everybody: I was 308 lbs, which was fatter than my "normal" body weight, plus I was on Metformin, a diabetes drug that helps with weight loss. Both of those contributed to a rapid weight loss when I did the third step: Diet and Exercise. I walked or Ran every day, I biked to work, and I didn't eat carbs. Now I can have a few carbs, and I my body weight normalized at about 231 (My range is 228 to 234).
My next goal is to shave 30 lbs off that. This will be more difficult, as my body naturally wants to be at about 230 lbs. :)
Lessons & tips: If you are a very overweight, I have good news, small steps usually give big gains. However, Don't give up or give in after l;osing a few pounds, keep it up.
If you aren't grossly overweight like I was, and you are closer to your normal weight, all I can say is this: If it feels hard, it is because it is hard.
The most apt metaphor I have heard is "Students, imagine that in front of you is a castle. That's where you
want to be. But surrounding that castle is a moat, full of piranha. The
only way to get into Sexy Abs Castle is to swim across the moat and let
the little fish painfully chew off hunks of fat. The real situation is
exactly like that, only the swim will take years."
