How I did it: Spent a year or so doing research and then one day spontaneously went to the local piercing place and got some dermals on the back of my neck. I asked the piercer quite a few questions to consolidate my research and everything I had read was pretty accurate. It hurt a lot more than I was told it would hurt but all in all it was fine and I am very happy.
