How to write another children's book or young adult novel
"Think like a child. Don't let your inner critic stifle your imagination!"
How I did it:
Apply butt to chair and write!
How did I do it? I listened to the voices in my head (we writers call them "characters") and wrote their stories using slightly better grammar and spelling than the average fourth grader could pull off. (Just kidding - no offense to the fourth graders out there. The main character, Irma, is a bright and precocious fourth grader who has little patience for breathing between words, let alone placing commas properly.)
Lessons & tips: Never talk down to your readers, no matter what their ages.
