How to get ready for school
How I did it: I made a list on a sheet of lined filler paper and wrote down every single thing I could think of, that I needed for school and stuck it in the portfolio I carry around with me.
Backpack, new keyring, umbrella, new socks, etc. Every single item, whether big or small and then I made sure to buy the newspaper every weekend. I could browse the fliers for what I needed to buy and where I could purchase each items. I was able to scour for sales and buy the needed supplies at extremely low prices with very little hassle.
I checked off each item as it was purchased and reworded others that weren't as important or necessary. It was good to see progress being made and having a flexible, tangible list on paper was very helpful as well.
When the list was complete, I stuck in a school folder and scribbled all over it with colored markers, according to the importance of each item. It helped me to see what I was doing and having a colorful page kept my interest as I'm a very visual person.
Lessons & tips: Revise the list as often as you need to. Be specific. Be bland. Write it all down and even write down things you've completed and check it off, so you can see everything you're doing to be ready and you won't be wondering whether you did x y or z, you'll see it's all there and all done.
