How to be genuine in everything I do
How I did it: At the beginning of the summer, I went to a conference for my job (I work with children). A speaker got up on stage who did not sound very educated, and towards the end of his speech he began talking about being genuine. He told us that every human can tell if one is being genuine. Every human being needs someone to be genuine. Don't do something with someone if you're not in it for real... what is the point? Don't pretend to listen to someone to gain something from them. The point of his speech was make sure that you are being genuine about everything you do, because that is the most important thing you can do for fragile people is honestly care.
Lessons & tips: Just be honest. I'd rather have a straight shooter offend me than have someone who didn't have the balls to speak up do it out of obligation.
