How to get a 3.5 or higher GPA
How I did it: My freshman year of college was really rough for me. I lived in Maine five hours away from home without a car. The first semester of college crushed me. I had to drop out of chemistry, and I ended up failing my math course. Second semester I focused all my energy on great grades and transferring. I harnessed all my bad vibes and pain into a transfer essay and grades. I am not going as far as to say that I didn't have fun, but I didn't dick around and slack by any means...except on weekends. It turned out that the math course I took over (calc) I got an A, Statistics I got an A-, Biology I got an A, Environmental Issues an A, and french I got an A-. Regardless of my mediocre first semester, my cumulative GPA is 3.66. Making the deans list made my year bitter sweet.
Lessons & tips: post it notes help so much with studying. tears and lab reports go well together haha :( andddddddd using your professors outside of class to help you grasps concepts is encouraged and extremely helpful!
