How to study abroad
How I did it: Even though it seemed financially IMPOSSIBLE, between scholarships and some student loans (student debt is good debt, right?) I was able to make this happen. I spent six months living in Copenhagen, Denmark and it was the greatest experience I could have asked for. While abroad I even found a job to fund my travels! I visited Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Czech Republic, Germany, and the UK. I studied Danish and became somewhat decent at it (Scandinavian languages are NOT very easy), made amazing friends, took some great courses at the University of Copenhagen, and got to live at an AMAZING residence called Tietgen Kollegiet where I lived with 11 Danes. I can't put it into words, but to try: studying abroad gave me the opportunity to not visit but LIVE IN a new place and even though I have been back in the states for 8 months,,, I still talk about it all the time.
