How to ignore catalogs and mail for future perusing
It made me
cleaner, organized 
"I have less clutter, more time, less wants."
How I did it: I go through my mail, i toss everything that isn't a bill or an invitation. I don't even open the catalogs and look. I know who they are and if I need something i'll lookthem up online. I just simply auto pilot go into recycle. My fiancee actually mails/calls the companies and asks them to take them off..but i just recycle!
Lessons & tips: Dont' event look at them Don't open them.
Resources: Just the time that I have and the space from less clutter.
