How to visit Huacachina oasis

How I did it: First you need to get to Ica.
I took a Cruz del sol bus from Lima to Arequipa and then after seeing Arequipa.
I got a bus from there to Ica.
Once you are in Ica, you are pretty much almost in Huacachina.
Then I caught a taxi from Ica to Huacachina.
Lonely planet guidebook was helpful on this matter.
LP may not be very helpful for restaurant choice though, since it tends to favor western style restaurant, which is more expensive, than where local prefers.
Lessons & tips: Plan enough time for sand boarding.
