Hey There E(S/N)FP!
I’m an ISTJ.
How I did it: I had remembered taking it back in either my freshmen or sophomore year of high school, during history. Although I remembered taking it, I didn't remember what personality type I was. In a previous entry, I wrote about how I thought my type was either ENFP or ENFJ, and that I would look through my past year's papers.
Well, I couldn't find it, so I searched for an online test. I came across this really good personality-test and info site, which let me take the test for free. I think I only had to create a free account, then take it.
Once I finished the test, the results were shown to me after a few seconds. According to the results, I am an ESFP: "The Entertainer." The results the site gives are really specific, though, and I noticed that my true results were actually a mixture between ESFP and ENFP, with my Sensing being a small percentage better than my iNtuition.
So, my results basically said:
- I'd prefer to be around others than be alone (Extroverted)
- I tend to focus both on the present and the future; I can think both concretely and deeply (Sensing/iNtuition)
- I tend to use my heart instead of my head (Feeling)
- I'm flexible and like to keep my options open, and I tend to be spontaneous or random; I tend to be unorganized (Perceiving)
Lessons & tips: Try not to think too hard about the questions on the test. Don't cheat to try to get the results you want. The test isn't 100% accurate, and it's really more of a theory than a proven fact. Don't be upset if you end up being a different type than you hoped. Most personality types are really close to each other, and you may be a combination of a few.
