How I did it: I printed out each sonnet and read twenty a day, making notes so that I could understand what they were about. I never even thought that they would tell some kind of story, but I now feel like I know more about Shakespeare's life.

Lessons & tips: If you struggle with the language, look up a commentary and work through the sonnet line by line.
