How I did it: My kitchen has needed a make over for sometime now and I finally got motivated to do the painting. I bought paint that I thought would look good with my cabinets. Next I washed the walls and put up painters tape on the edges of the cabinets and walls where I wanted the paint to stop. Then I painted. I did it a little at a time over a few days, so I wasn't rushed and I could do a good job. Now I just need to paint the rest of the house.

Lessons & tips: Use painters tape so you don't make a mess.
Also use rubber gloves for the same reason.
If you paint a for a hour or two every day, it seems like a much smaller task.
