How to stop smoking
"Was smoking 3 pack a day"
How I did it: -Got an interview with a doctor
-Bought some gum
-Stopped the first day on my vacation
I was thinking about it since a really long time, i m a really big smoker and i always tought it was just stupid but got trapped in it. I m a bit of a nerd so the first thing i did was to buy an iphone app to quit smoking : HeatlhCoach. That was 1 year ago. I got a first interview with a doctor a few month later, and he told me he would help me into this. then a lot of stuff append in my life and the idea kind of left. 1 year later the best friend of my father died of a lung cancer, and one of my best friend (wich live outside of france) came back. This friend father also died of a lung cancer a few years ago. This friend really fought to stop smoking 2 years ago, and i tought i should take advantage of the fact that he was around to stop.
Actually it just worked, it's now been 3 weeks, and i think i m over it forever !
Lessons & tips: - Get gum ! :)
- Summer is the best time to stop ! You will breeze again, smell everything, and won't be sick in winter ! :)
