How to exercise regularly
How I did it: I finally got to a frame of mind and a place in my health that demanded that I get fit and stay fit. I realized that it was no longer an option that I could take it or leave it..but it is a requirement for my life and just not optional for me any longer. I also understand that I am just not going to get the real workout I need regularly outdoors...but I need for me personally to be in a gym. I have had back injuries that bothered me for years and I know that I have to GET FIT and STAY FIT to stay on my feet. But the up side to this is never ending with great things. I have a monthly cost that I can't seem to afford for the gym, but now it doesn't hurt so bad to pay when I know how important it truly is. I'm making it all worth it too....use every bit of what I'm paying for. Get in there, work out, clean up, go out into the world and feel better, be more energetic, more uplifted and on myh way to looking better as well. It's my new lifestyle and I'm LOVING IT!!! And since I travel, I find that a one month fee for a gym when traveling is actually veryh cheap, they'll give you a great discount if you are from out of town. NIIIIICE!! Just do it.
Lessons & tips: Get in your head why you want it and how many reasons there are to do it. Go beyond looks...but health. Compile the pros as well as the cons and then make a CHOICE of what you want to do....then don't turn back or change your mind.
Resources: Local gyms are usually very helpful. Call around, ask people where they go...go check out different places...something that fits YOU...not everyone else. Get some trial runs...you'll get hooked. Give yourself just one goal at a time...getting to the gym could be the first...trying it another...making it one week another. Take a step at a time. Build goals from there, but don't give up....stick to your choice to do it.
