How to workout regularly
How I did it: I started with trying to walk 3 times a week. Then I signed up for a 5K, and it reminded me how much I enjoyed participating in races. So I took a chance and registered for a half marathon that was six months away and stuck to the training schedule. I still have a month left to go, but I'm working out consistently 3-4 times a week and can really feel the positive impact it has on my life (especially stress reduction, but it also fosters a good self image)
Lessons & tips: I would recommend trying a race. Once you register, it gives you an exact timeline as well as a goal. Make sure to pick something that is close enough that you feel like you have to start training now, but not so close where you are not going to have a shot at succeeding (also, you don't want to train too hard too fast and risk injury).
Resources: I found a 1/2 marathon training schedule by googling the galloway method and also signed up for a race email newsletter to keep track of upcoming active events.
