How to blog regularly
How I did it: I decided that I'd blog 5 out of 7 days a week, giving myself 2 "off days" in case I needed it or couldn't think up of something to post.
Then pretty much every day, I would log on about a half hour before midnight and ramble on whatever was going on in my head or had happened that day.
When I knew I'd have to post something on my blog, I'd look for stuff throughout the day and I'd work to come up with good content to post.
I also made sure that I'd have some back-up ideas, just in case I couldn't come up with anything for a whole week. Then I made them short, simple posts. It's been wonderful to be able to post every day and to see comments from folks who love reading my little snippets.
Lessons & tips: Write short. Be short, concise and to the point. Lengthy blog posts, unless they are serial stories, tend to be ignored or boring. Even if it is interesting, break it into smaller parts, often a large block of text is a huge deterrent to the reader.
Write about normal things. Every post doesn't have to be spectacular, it just has to be real.
