How to learn to drive a stick shift
"Stressful, but fulfilling. I felt like I accomplished something when it was all said and done."
How I did it: Practice. Practice. Practice. I went out almost every other day, even if just for half an hour and practiced with my friend. Once I felt confident just driving normally, we went straight for the hills! We practiced in parking lots that had entrances/exits that were on an incline during non-business hours so I didn't have to worry about rolling back into someone :-p
Lessons & tips: Tackle hills early, they're really the only "hard" part.
Resources: A good friend with a clutch he or she doesn't care about.
