How to work at Children's Village

How I did it: I'm marking this done because in one of my boxes at home I still have my Children's Village staff ID. I didn't work here this time, but hey I already managed to do it once.
Lessons & tips: None really, this was my first time attempting to be more than a volunteer in the non profit sector. While I'm happy to have tried, I was reminded why I started halfGray.
My recommendation to anyone wanting to help at risk youth is do it, don't look for a non profit to help. Simply go to the nearest park. stay there all day until it closes. Do that for 3 days, and do it without fear. By the the 3rd day you'll find out how you can help those children.
It took me 2 weeks to get a boxing program started, by the time I've completed the hiring process at children's village, my 6 month mission to new york will be half way over.
The lesson I've learned in the change sector is you have to create it.
