How to run my first 5k
How I did it: I trained for about 9 weeks with a local running group. I mixed in some strength training (Chalean Extreme) & cardio (Insanity & Turbo Fire). The day before, I ate some carbs and had early morning breakfast oatmeal and blueberries.
Lessons & tips: Go at your own pace. I started out walking/jogging and eventually worked up to a good pace where I wasn't huffing and puffing.
Resources: Look up local groups at Snails Pace or Road Runners.
