How I did it: I found a dr run weight loss clinic and they put me on Adapax and Topamax and B12 shots every 2 weeks.
They also had me on a no carb diet for one month. IT SUCKED. The goal of that month was to normalize my blood sugar levels and it worked.
After that I started an organic diet focused on clean fresh foods and portion control. No calorie counting, no weighing food. I think I've been able to stick with it because it doesn't have me thinking about food 24/7 like weight watchers did.
I also exercise 6 days a week. I started at 2 and worked up as I got more fit.
So far I have lost 70lbs and I feel better than I ever have in my life, even when I was thinner. I still have toning to do and may lose more weight but I'm pretty happy with where I'm at right now.
Lessons & tips: Depending on how much you need to lose, start with talking to your Dr.
Look at your diet, most of us know where we are screwing up we just don't want to admit it. It's seriously THE MOST IMPORTANT PART!!!
Make a list of your reasons for wanting to lose weight and make sure they are the right ones.
Make another list of your excuses for why you can't exercise or change your diet, seeing it in black and white can help you see how absurd they are.

It has been a long journey and I am about 10 to 15 lbs away from my goal weight depending on whether you ask me or my dr, and it has been hard but so worth it!
I have lost over 100lbs now and gone from size 24 to size 8 jeans and bought my first bikini in 10 years. I’m not sure if I have the lady balls to actually wear it but, well… Anyway…
I’d love to say I’ve totally changed everything about my life and it’s all wine and roses. Life’s not really like that though. I’m still a stay at home mom I still have a hard time putting myself first most of the time and dammit I still just want a cookie sometimes.
The thing is, I still feel fantastic. I still smile when I pass a mirror because I get that ” holy crap, that’s me!” feeling. I still start to go to the plus section and then remember I can go to juniors if I want, and I just want to giggle.
These are the things that keep me going when I have a crappy day. I also carry pictures of myself at my heaviest and tell my story every chance I get.
Some days it’s easy some days are awful. But it’s better than the alternative. I’m glad I decided to take charge of my life and loose the weight. I’m not sure where I’d be right now if I didn’t, at the rate I was gaining I more than likely would have very serious health problems and I don’t even want to speculate what all I would have missed.

Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us. I’m so happy for you for having been able to do this. When I was working on losing weight I not only cut out carbs, but also starches too like corn. It did suck, but it also really helped.
