How to go whale watching
How I did it: I booked a trip to Orcas Island for my birthday. I searched for the best deals and compared my brains out until I got it just right. My husband and I had the best time.
Lessons & tips: Go in the early spring if you can. It's cheaper to stay and less crowded on the tour.
Resources: Book these people if you are going up to the San Juans: http://www.orcasislandwhales.com/
And if you need a place to stay, this place was more than worth every penny (and very few pennies were required): http://www.orcasislandboardwalk.com/
