"not quite what I expected"
How I did it: There's a small independent cinema up the road that I've never been to. I found a movie I wanted to watch (Another Year) and booked my ticket online (half price on Mondays) and went this morning.
Bought a small popcorn and a drink and went inside. To my surprise the cinema was almost full, maybe 5 seats left and was occupied by mostly mums and their babies. There were strollers lined up on the side at up the front and babies were crying (including the ones right next to me!). I managed to block out most of the crying and yelling by focusing on the movie and not being distracted. Still enjoyed the movie, but next time I won't go to the same session!
Lessons & tips: - half price morning sessions at local cinema may be full of babies crying!
