How to finish Christmas shopping by December 15th by donah1007

"I can't believe I'm finished!!!"

How I did it: I started early.  I made a list of people I needed to buy gifts for.  I set a limit per person.

I shopped online before going to the stores.  I looked for deals and free shipping.

I use a website called MyPoints.com when I shop online.  I signed up years ago.  Anytime I want to make an online purchase I check there first to see if the website participates.  I link through mypoints to the retailer and earn points.  They have links for many places such as Ebay, Old Navy and a lot of other big name stores.

I checked local ads and took advantage of sales.  Many stores in my area ran amazing sales for the entire month of November.

I stuck to my list and budget (for the first time EVER!!!).  I didn't have specific items picked out for everyone on the list but I had ideas for everyone.  I didn't buy for anyone who wasn't on the list.

Lessons & tips: Make lists and stick to them.  Be realistic with your budget.  Don't be tempted by super special sales if they don't meet your list requirements.
