How to get a job for the summer
How I did it: A week ago or so, I went into a small local produce store, and handed in my resume, even through I didn't think they would be hiring anyone. I really wanted to work there because it's a really great little business and the people are very friendly. Not long after I got a call asking me if I was still looking for work. I was. I went in for a quick little interview and I was hired to start the next week, just like that.
I started on Tuesday and so far I am loving my job and my coworkers are great. If the physically demanding part doesn't kill me, I intend to be there until the end of the summer. Thus I have a job for the summer.
Lessons & tips: -Apply everywhere. Even places that you don't think are hiring or where you don't think you would be considered.
