"It took forever and I still feel like I have a ways to go, but I'm happy so far... "
How I did it: I don't even know how long I've had this on my goal list--- a year? two? My actual weight loss goal was 20 pounds, it's just the last 10 pounds are the hardest to get rid of.
Start weight: 140 lbs
End weight:119 pounds
I'm not very tall and all the weight sits at my stomach, so I still have a lot of fat I want to get rid of. Knowing that I've accomplished my weight goal makes me satisfied and encourages me to keep going. Now it's not about losing weight, but rather, about maintaining my weight, losing fat, and gaining muscle.
I could never stop eating sweets-- it's my addiction! but I did start limiting the amount I ate. Less drinking, no fried foods, very few dairy products... basically ate a lot of veggies, fish, fruit, and whole grain bread. In the end, I stopped concentrating on the weight and began feeling better just because I was eating healthier! =)
Lessons & tips: I was on a strict diet, but I allowed myself to break it once in a while (once or twice a week). When I went on diets in the past, I always gave up because I craved other foods too much-- when I set a day aside for those foods(a slice or two of pizza, a hamburger, etc.), it helped me get through the diet week by week.

Always felt funny exercising in front of my computer, but because I had exercise vids, there was never the excuse of "oh the gym is too far away" or "oh, i don't have enough time!" some vids are 10 minutes long, others are 30-40... it's easy to schedule a workout anytime!
