How to be a bartender
"Best job for students"
How I did it: Worked as a waiter at two different places before getting an offer to tend the bar. Being a barback also helped. Learn to make drinks on your own or take a 2 week class like my buddy did really helps. Work slower shifts to start then take the better ones, you work late but make great money and can take classes during the day if you don't mind not sleeping all day and being stuck in a dead end job. I'd hate to be bartending in my 50s...
Lessons & tips: Start as a waiter or barback, learn (either self-taught or a crash course) and start slow.
Resources: Any bar guide will do; need a mentor to show you the recipes for YOUR establishment, all recipes can vary.
