How to get a tattoo
How I did it: I did what most people do. I decided I wanted a tattoo a long time ago but never could decide on what to get or where to get it. I came across a couple of quotes that really spoke to me and held a lot of meaning so I picked one and "lived" with it for a few months to see if I'd get annoyed with it or if it would lose meaning. It didn't. :)
Then I knew I didn't want it to be too obvious on my body so it had to be somewhere sort-of hidden but still visible to me. I was thinking about the lower abdomen but that didn't appeal to me as the quote would be upside down from my point of view. So I did it on the inside of my upper arm. Easy to hide (with sleeves or just by not lifting my arm) but easy enough for me to see whenever I feel like it.
Lessons & tips: Don't go to a tattoo place that does your tattoo right away. Good places give you an appointment, usually months from the day you go there to say you want a tattoo. That gives you time to mull it over, see if you're really happy with your motif etc.
