"I can button up my jeans again!"
How I did it: July 2008 - Decided to start losing weight: not only for health reasons, but also so I could wear cute clothes again :P At the time I was a size 16 and had a drawerful of size 12 "skinny" clothes. I would swear up & down that "one day" I would fit back into them.
October 2008 - After 2 months of diet and exercise, I was able to fit into one of my old suits (jacket size 12, pants size 14) for a job interview.
November 2008 - At last, I can fit into my favorite size 12 jeans again!! Woohoo!! Consider this goal accomplished.
Lessons & tips: Find a way to enjoy the process - if it's not fun, you won't stick with it. Be creative in the kitchen and try healthy recipes with lots of fruits and veggies. Find a workout you like - I play Dance Dance Revolution because it's great for cardio and it keeps track of the calories you burn.
