How I did it: My best friend and her husband were living in Belgium.  I knew there was no better time for my first visit to Europe.  We also planned a visit to Paris!  I took 2 weeks off of work and had a blast!  My goal in this adventure wasn't to backpack and see all of Europe, it was to spend time with my best friend...in an awesome setting. ;)

Also, if you have a friend living somewhere awesome, go visit them and kill two birds with one stone.  New places are always better with old friends.
