How I did it: I've always wanted to do a time capsule with my friends but never really gotten around it. I feel like if I have to keep waiting for someone to join me, I might as well make one by myself while asking my friend's for help.

I wrote down a list of the things I want to put in my time capsule. I then wrote some messages/emails to my friends asking them to send me something to open in the next ten year. I also met up with some of my friends and told them this idea; some were willing to help.

A few weeks went by and my friends' mail/packages started to show up in my mailbox. I found a good, sturdy box made of tin, with a good lid, and started placing all the things I've gather, letters from friends in sealed envelopes inside. Finally I wrapped it up like a present, and hide it in our attic.

Lessons & tips: Keep a list of things you want to place in your time capsule.
Ask around for ideas.
Get your friends involved! It's so much more fun that way.
