How to get side bangs
How I did it: It took me a long time to get the hair appointment. When I walked in to get bangs for the first time in my life I was so nervous! I always thought that bangs would look bad on me, but then started to get curious about side bangs. I took a leap of faith and I'm so glad that I did. Now I have so many more styles I can do with my hair, and my bangs are long enough that I can do a french twist braid, a french braid, a dutch braid, a pouf, or just pull them back if I don't want them in my face!
Lessons & tips: I recommend getting bangs that are long enough for you to pull them back for those days that you don't want them in your face. It's fun to have different ways of pulling them back too because then it doesn't make you look "lazy" for not wanting to style your bangs... it looks like it was part of your plan for your hairstyle that day ;)
Resources:
- I googled "side bangs" and "side swept bangs" to find the type of bangs I wanted before going to get them cut.
- I learned how to dutch braid and do a french twist braid to switch it up from my too-comfortable pouf that I always resorted to.
