How to get more exercise
How I did it: In January 2010, I was almost 200 pounds. I began dating a bodybuilder who was having a contest in September. Also, my class reunion was the same year. I decided to get myself in shape by changing my diet, training five days a week with weights and do cardio daily. By September 2010, I was 139 lbs. I did not need to wear Spanx and I looked beautiful for my reunion. I also won 1st place in my first figure contest in bodybuilding contest. The next year I hired an additional personal trainer and tied for 5th place with a 25yr old and I was almost 50! I also regained my title in my second figure competition.
Lessons & tips: Gradually change you diet so you don't have major cravings. Reduce or eliminates sugar and sodas. Eat fruit and juice instead. Reduce or eliminate breads and increase protein by eating grilled or baked chicken breasts, top sirloin, and fish. Exercise at least five days a week or your skin will hang when you lose weight. Drink distilled water so that you're not getting the salt from other bottled water.
Resources: A knowledgeable personal trainer, weights (not the shaker weights), and protein drinks without added sugar.
