How to set an attainable athletic goal, like running a 5 or 10k
"My legs hurt lol"
How I did it: I walked 6km on the first day.
On the second day it was a brisk walk a bit, jog a bit, run a bit.
On the third day, I was with my parents, my mum was lagging behind and my dad and I ran 6km trying to see who would get back to his car first.
It was actually fun especially cause I had a good laugh and race with my dad.
Lessons & tips: 1. Walk the first day (time yourself)
2. Your legs are going to hurt a lot the next morning so you need to walk again or try and use a pain killer, deep heat or deep freeze if you can't manage going out.
3. Mark out areas where you'll briskly walk, jog and run (time yourself)
4. Jog and run (time yourself)
5. Try and beat your record each time you go running

- Running Shoes
- My ipod (listening to music while running)
- A timer/sports watch
- Running space/land (I used an island...ran the whole perimeter)
- Someone to wake you up early/alarm clock
- *avoid water while running cause it'll make your tummy hurt. drink water when done.
