How to have a white christmas
How I did it: For me to fulfill this goal on my 43 Things list, I had to rely on Mother Nature entirely. There wasn't anything I could do to help speed up the process of completing this goal, except hope and pray! My Southern hometown had not experienced a White Christmas since 1882! So I knew my chances were slim. However, five years after I first added this goal to my list (maybe longer), my wish came true!!! It snowed on Christmas in my hometown for the first time in my lifetime (and everyone else's in town)! It began snowing on Christmas Eve, into Christmas Day, and throughout the night. I couldn't have been happier! A White Christmas was just what I needed to put me in the Christmas spirit; and most importantly, to remind me that God still performs miracles every day! And boy, was this miracle gorgeous!!! Just like how Christmas in Dixie should be. :)
Lessons & tips: You just have to wait until you're blessed with a White Christmas. Unless you want to travel to a ski town or other area that has guaranteed White Christmases. I think it's much better in your hometown with your family, though!
