"exhilarating "
How I did it:
I tend to over think things, but this time I tried not to worry about the fact that I had never been snowboarding before, or that I could end up hurt, or that I wasn't going to be warm enough... Instead, I let go and ended up enjoying every moment. I tried to let my body control the board; I found that the more I thought about the technicalities of turns or whatever, the worse I did. I think most people instinctively know how to control a board, but sometimes nerves and fear can get in the way.
Lessons & tips: Be brave. :) Falling is not that bad, really.
Resources: Ask friends for tips. Look up some techniques online or take a class, if you can.
Have patience and don't be afraid of falling. The beginner slopes are your friends!
Have fun!
