How to dream lucidly
How I did it: I achieved a lucid dream by doing the WILD method (wake induced lucid dream). What I did was after a 5 hour nap, I woke up, went to the washroom and basically stayed up for 30 minutes till I went back to bed. After, I laid on my back and closed my eyes whilst trying to keep my mind awake while keeping my physical body asleep. It had worked after laying in bed for a few minutes. I could see some images and after that I went into sleep paralyzation where people tend to get scared and discontinue but it was actually not that scary. I felt like I was in a roller coaster ride and after a few minutes of experiencing that, I opened my eyes and the environment just felt so surreal even though I was still in my room! I knew I was in a lucid dream because I read in this website called dreamviews.com being in a dream is different because normal things can seem a bit off. So I did a reality check and checked my hands and it had an extra finger! I know...a bit weird and also I looked at my alarm clock and the time was messed up...it wasn't even showing numbers! Anyways, I decided to go through the walls of my house and then once I got outside, I gave myself a jet pack and flew to this island. It was exhilarating but didn't last long because I fell into the water which felt soo real and then I woke up.
Lessons & tips: When you are in a lucid dream and you are excited (which I think everyone is) to keep yourself from waking up,
-rub your hands together
Don't be scared of sleep paralyzation or that feeling where you're falling through your bed. It's just a step closer to going into a lucid dream!
If it doesn't work the first time, try, try again. I mean we spend most our lives sleeping. Why not make it more interesting and do things you never thought possible?
