How I did it: I've been entering contests since I was 11 years old and hear a story about a girl who won things. I liked dreaming about winning big entering contests online and had many fun wins along the way (arcade machine, trip to Grammy's along with many, many small wins), but never cash. But I never gave up. I finally won $1,000 this fall and then I won a $10,000 cash prize this January. I got the check yesterday and put it in the bank. I'm thrilled since I graduate this June and this money is going to help me get a fresh start.
