How to take better care of my teeth by eveningsparkle

"Brush, spit, rinse, floss!"

How I did it: I got into a habit. It really only takes a few weeks to make a habit. What made me finally cross this off my list was that after years of not going to a dentist because of not having insurance, I finally went. NO CAVITIES! My new habit helped me out :)

Lessons & tips: 1: Morning and night, every day. Just do it for a month. Not a week, not two weeks: a month.

Resources: Colgate! I also bought a fancy toothbrush in hopes of it motivating me. Worked out ok!

You're an inspiration

To someone who didn’t grow up with strict dental hygiene habits. I finally made dentist appointments for my husband and I (after a year of no appointments) and that’s been my inspiration for hard-core dental hygiene. :)

My favorite thing about this? Listerine Total Care mouthwash. It’s the best.

I’m glad! Having some end point where I am accountable is usually motivational for me. It is harder when the appointment isn’t for six months, but now I already have the habit :)

I might try the mouthwash. Thanks for the tip! I’m glad you shared your success, maybe someone will see it and do the same

Total care is the purple one. :) But it’s got to be listerine, not the generic store brand. And it’s probably going to burn the first few times you use it, but that’s good. It’s just killing everything that your toothpaste didn’t.
