How to improve my posture
How I did it: Harsh
as it may sound, it was my family who bullied me to fulfill this goal.
Not that they knew it was a goal, but just getting them off of my back
made it so. I was a teenager with a very insecure posture. To figure
out how to straighten my back properly, I thought of the military, of
how the superiors would walk in front of the line of new recruits and
bully them – suck that belly in, hold that chin up, stand tall and
proud. After years of determination, I believe I know have a decent
posture without having to put effort into it anymore.
Lessons & tips: The most important thing to remember (for me, anyway) is to keep your chin up high. If you keep your chin up, and try to look far away when you're walking, the body will automatically straighten up. And one thing I learned during this, is that when you "straighten up" you really bend like a curve backwards.
