How to become a college professor

"I am learning lots with my students. It's been a pleasure so far. It's hard to be a professor for the first time tough."
How I did it: I applied to a position and prepared myself for the interview. I got the job! (10 days after I applied) - Getting the job was the easiest part - getting to be a good professor is different (maybe because of my lack of experience). It will get better I am sure!
Lessons & tips: Be prepared to explain why do you want to do it - and be prepared to learn that you know less than you think you do. Students can teach us a lot because of their diversified backgrounds.
