How I did it: The boyfriend bought me new shoes, sunglasses and running clothes. We've run together a few times already and I have found I really like running with someone.
Lessons & tips: Run by yourself and with someone, at least until you figure out which you like more.
Running with somone motivates me to keep up a bit more, running by myself allows me to focus on cadence and timing.
Just start is the best advise I can give.
I smoke, I have asthma, I've skipped the gym too many months to count but I have made the time to run/walk/jog at least 3 times a week for at least 20 minutes, hard and to break a sweat, and it's WONDERFUL to be able to run again. My new goal- run for 30 minutes straight. Can't wait to check it off my list.
