How to buy camping equipment
"It was a daunting process at first, but I'm very excited to get out there! "
How I did it: I knew some of the things I wanted/needed to buy. I went to a local REI store and window-shopped, essentially. I took notes of the items they had, brands, prices, etc. I compared that to cheaper stores (Target, Walmart, Sports Authority), and online shops. I ended up picking and choosing between them all.
Lessons & tips: Shop around. Compare products, brands, customer reviews, and prices. Go for quality when you can-- it'll be worth it in the long run!
Talk to people (especially if you've never been camping)

Coleman products are a pretty sure bet (quality and reasonably priced)
