How to give myself a make-over
How I did it: I had lost 20 pounds and thought it would be a good time to give myself a mini-makeover. My sister-in-law is a hairdresser and was able to cut my hair and give it some highlights. I can't spare any money, especially on something like this, so I needed to be resourceful and use what I already had. That, in it of itself, also made me feel better, knowing I didn't spend any money and could still make myself feel better. Yes, it is essentially vanity but we all need to have a makeover once in a while. I still have about 40 pounds to lose but this was a nice start. I feel a lot better.
Lessons & tips: Use what you have. You don't have to go out and spend money on new clothes or beauty supplies. If you really have nothing and know clue how to give yourself a makeover find a friend who you think could help you out, or check out a magazine for ideas.
Resources: My sister-in-law Tasha, who did my hair. Thank you.
