Good job!
I used to live a few blocks from London Bridge, and I can understand that it’s incredibly difficult to save money when it is simply so expensive! So, congratulations on a tough goal accomplished!

How I did it: I started small enough to not feel I am actually saving. Every week I put aside a little chunk of money and kept doing it for few months slowly increasing amount that goes to my saving account. The biggest problem for me was to make sure that I "don't spend" what I used to love to do. Once I felt comfortable with the fact that I have less to spent I could double and later triple my monthly savings. It went for more than a year. Knowing I can do that again I decided to use all money to invest in my business buying equipment and licences and spending some time on market research. Now is 6 months later and I still have positive balance, no debts and happily bootstrapping PromoSquare - my new venture.
Saving money is worth of doing if you know why you doing it. I wanted to feel taste of financial freedom and independence. It feels great to be able to stop working and do not worry about next few months down the line despite of living in London, I guess the most expensive city in the World. The most exciting is fact you can do what you want to not what you have to.

Lou M. Do a little everyday, write entries and soon your goals will be done.
Awesome! You should feel proud of your accomplishments. In regards to spending money on the things you cut back on – I give myself a small allowance each pay. This is my pocket money and I can spend it however I want to without judgement.
I also withdraw it in cash so once my purse is empty I’ve got no option but to sit tight until pay day unless it’s an emergency like I’ve been called into work for a full day excursion and need to bring lunch etc.
