How I did it: Well it took me 2 rounds of applications, but I finally did it! This year I applied to 5 schools, including the 3 that I applied to last year. So far I've heard back from 3. The first two were rejections, but I just got an acceptance last week!
Lessons & tips:
- Keep in good standing/contact with professors.
- Always look for experience that could look good on your resume, even if it isn't paid
- Got a school you've got your eye on? Talk to the faculty on the admission board to find out what they're looking for.
- Persistence!
- Apply to SEVERAL schools
