How to lose fifteen pounds
"Difficult, but so worth it."
How I did it: When I started my final internship, I switched to part time at my job. I'm working seven days a week between work and internship, but my schedule is better. All of my days are eight hours instead of having three eighteen hours days a week. Having shorter days and less stress took a lot of pressure off.
Because of having a regular sleep schedule and less overall to do during the week, my stress level has gone way down. I'm eating healthier, sleeping more, and I'm even eating less overall. My husband and I are cooking more and I pack my lunch instead of grabbing junk or eating out.
My cooperating teacher and her adjoining teacher are both on diets and committed to eating healthy. I love working in the classroom and having them as examples, I set myself on a mission to start eating healthier lunches. I have fruit for lunch now instead of sandwiches and leftovers.
Also, I feel so much better. I'm taking vitamins everyday, and when I eat something unhealthy, I feel bloated and generally yucky. I'd much rather eat my veggies and a light meal than a carb filled pasta dish.
I lost fifteen pounds in three months once I reduced the stress in my life.
Lessons & tips: Reduce stress any way that you can.
Pack a lunch.
Eat on smaller plates to trick your mind into thinking you ate more.
Find the fruits and veggies that you like.
Eat those fruits and veggies!
Focus on changing your lifestyle, don't go on a diet.
