How to start a knitting group

How I did it: I put a message on Ravelry in the group for my city to see if anyone near me was interested. A few were so we picked a night and a place and it was off!
Lessons & tips: The website Ravelry is a great place to start. Then invite people on facebook, twitter, etc. because you never know who knits!
