How to find something to be thankful for everyday by ugogrl

"My cup runneth over with overflowing gratitude"

How I did it: I think I probably picked up the idea of starting an online journal from something I had seen on the Oprah show. During this time in my life I found myself thinking negatively and I was aware that this mind set wasn't truly helpful or accurate.

Thoughts have a way of spiraling up or down depending on how much power one wants to give them and I decided it was time to give the "power of positive thinking" a real chance.

The task was simple enough: log onto 43T daily and write about something, somebody, some event or some experience that I was grateful for. I had expected to do this for 365 days and continued the journal-ing for a total of 424 days.

Lessons & tips: If you choose to do this on 43t like I did you don't necessarily have to log-on everyday. There were days, usually the weekends, where I doubled up my entries. For instance on Monday I would often write an entry for something I was grateful for on Saturday and another one for Sunday and another one for Monday. 

I just dated the entry for the days so I wouldn't mix them up and I was able to account for each day that way.

You can always find something to be grateful for sometimes you have to look a little bit harder at the world or at yourself and pick out the best qualities.

Feel free to indulge in all that is wonderful and makes you feel truly happy, your mood can only be enhanced.
