How to make 1000 inchies in 2009
How I did it: I concentrated on the goal of 1000....I had 365 days to draw 1000 little pictures. I just did it everyday and eventually I got it done.
sometimes when I couldn't think of anything to draw or paint on the inchies I wouldn't do any inchies that day. To complete 1000 inchies in 365 days one needs to only about three inchies a day. I did mine in groups with a clear subject...i.e. cats, dogs, snails, frogs, sunsets, boats, ect, ect. I would utilize Google Images for the inspiration needed to do the drawings on a daily basis. I think the most inchies I did on any given day was a grand total of 72...all in one 24 hour period. Course inchies are only an inch sqare and that isn't a lot of ground to cover so doing 72 in one day is not really all the impossible.
Just keep at it...don't give up when you go a few days without working on the goal.
Lessons & tips: if you want to do 1000 things in 365 days time, you need to stick with it....don't fall behind in the goal cause if you fall behind, there is the possibilty you won't ever catch back up!
I found it most helpful to cut inchie blanks on a weekly basis.
Resources: all but a few of my inchies were drawn with markers. I did a few in acrylic paints but most were drawn. There were no services to help....though I did utilize google images for ideas for to draw sometimes.
